We built this site to need as little of your personal data as possible.
Here's exactly what happens with your information.

1. What we don't collect

There's no account or sign-up to use CompareMyChristmas.com. We don't
ask for your name, address, or payment details at any point — because we
never take payment or process orders ourselves.

2. What stays on your own device

When you use the budget quiz or "The Christmas Assistant," your answers
(budget, who you're buying for, preferences) are stored only in your own
browser (using a technology called local storage), so your plan is still
there if you come back later. This information is never sent to our
servers and we never see it.

3. Affiliate tracking cookies

When you click through to a retailer from this site, we use an affiliate
network (Awin) to track that the click came from us, so we can earn a
commission if you make a purchase. This typically involves a cookie set
by the affiliate network or the retailer, not by us directly. It only
identifies that a purchase came from our site — it doesn't tell us who
you are.

4. Standard website analytics

Like most websites, this site may use basic, aggregated analytics (for
example, how many people visit, which pages are popular) to help us
improve it. This data is anonymised and not linked to you personally.
